I’ve always been drawn to creative things. From a young age, I was encouraged to explore making and crafting, and crochet quickly became my favourite.

I properly picked up a hook in 2019, when my sister showed me how to get started. She introduced me to making baby blankets, especially with the waffle stitch, which I instantly loved. It wasn’t long before crochet became something I did as much for the rhythm and calm as for the finished piece… and because I enjoy a good chat while I crochet, too (hence the name Waffle & Stitch).

What began with blankets slowly grew into something more colourful: crocheted plushie animals, each with their own little personality. By 2024, my creations had found their way into Trove in Bournemouth, where they started heading off to their forever homes — which still feels pretty special every time it happens.

Everything I make is crocheted by hand, slowly and thoughtfully. I use soft, velvety yarns and a mix of embroidered features and safety eyes, depending on the design. Comfort is always at the heart of what I make — whether that’s a small desk buddy, a gift for someone special, or a cuddly companion for everyday life.

You’ll rarely find me without a hook in my hand. I crochet everywhere — in the car, on the train, or anywhere I can sneak in a few stitches. I love it when people ask what I’m making; those small conversations and moments of connection are one of my favourite parts of crocheting.
